Held in the Holiday Inn, Monroeville the weekend of June 24-26th, 1999.  This was my first convention.  This was also my first trip to Monroeville.  The cast of Night of the Living Dead was in attendance and so was SFX master Tom Savini.  So naturally this would be a good choice for a first convention.  I was nervous about meeting any of the cast, because I'd fallen in love with the movie so much that I didn't know what to say around them.  I found them to be some of the nicest people I had ever met.  Russ Streiner actually knows where my hometown of Highspire is, which was a shock to me.  Bill Hinzman was a very funny man who loved to talk to us fans who had many questions.  Karl Hardman and Marilyn Eastman (the Coopers) were 2 of the nicest people I've ever met in my life.    They had this thing where you could be adopted by them and be in their will, you got these signed certificates saying you were now a member of the cooper family.  I also met Kyra Schon who played little Karen Cooper in Night of the Living Dead.

Bob Michelucci, he played the first zombie Peter shoots with the Supergun and did the cover art for the first Dawn of the Dead video release.

Bill Hinzman, the first zombie we see onscreen in Night of the Living Dead.

"They're coming to get you Barbara."  Russ Streiner, Johnny from Night of the Living Dead.

Kyra Schon, Karen Cooper from Night of the Living Dead.

Tom Savini, the man who needs no introduction.

Karl Hardman and Marilyn Eastman, also known as the Coopers, Harry and Helen from Night of the Living Dead.
